Primark, Topshop & Superdrug haul July 2015

Hello guys!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a very long time, but now summers here, and schools out I promise to post much more often.

Anyway... I have been shopping over the past week and thought I'd share what I have got with you guys, because why not? Everyone loves a good old haul now and then don't they? I know I do.

So the first place I popped into was superdrug.

The first item I got was a face mask, I love face masks, I think they really helps your skin have a good old deep cleanse. The one I got was the superfruits clay mask and it was only 99p. The superdrug   Face masks that I've tried in the past have never failed to impress so that's why I chose this one.

The next item I got was a face scrub. I have been looking for a harsh deep cleansing face scrub for a while now, and I didn't want to spend a great deal of money on one, so therefore I walked into superdrug, pondered over to the skincare  section and saw this. Then I picked it up and thought, this looks good and it is incredible! I can't get over this. It's so mattifying and cleansing, I just love it. I'lldefinatly do a review on this once I've used it a bit more. I'm not sure of te exact price but I think it's around £5.00.

I then got myself a Radox bath soak. I love these so much, they are so cheap and they also smell amazing. I didn't actually pick the 'stress relief' bath soak Becase im stressed, I got it because it was just the nearest thing to me whilst I was in the que (LOL). But honestly like they are only around £1.00 and they are usually always on sale, I got this one on sale for 87p. (Like whattt)

Last of all from Superdrug I got myself a Barry M gelly hi-shine nail varnish in the shade 'Lychee 506'. Recently I have been into nude nail varnishes, I just think they look really natural and pretty, but not in your face. They also match everything so I decided to pick myself a nude nail varnish and this is the one I chose. It's so pretty on and I can see myself wearing this a lot throughout the year, come rain or sun.

Now on to Topshop...

So if you have read my other blog posts, you will know I love the Joni high waisted jeans. So what did I do... I got myself another pair. The White ones. I think the white ones are so lovely for summer rather than black. These jeans look stunning with like a bright coloured top like coral or pink, or black but seeing as it's summer im trying to stay away from black and welcome the brighter colours into my wardrobe (Does that sound weird, I think it does, I don't even know, lool) These jeans are £36.00, so it is expensive but they are such good quality and fit me like a glove like no other jeans do.

Then I just got a nail varnish which is the most gorgeous duck egg blue colour, although it has got a slight hinge of purple aswell, it's so pretty and I actually never warm to colours like this because I didn't think they suited me but I'm actually really liking them and once again it's not a in your face colour. I think this was £5.00 but my friend kindly got it for me, so if your reading this, cheers!

Saveing the best to last... PRIMARK!!!

So I actually have been loving Primark at the moment, they have some lovely stuff in so I popped into there and got some bits and bobs. I didn't go all crazy because I only had a certain amount of money I could spend, but I did get some amazing items, and I'm really happy with what I got. Ramble over.

First of all I got this high neck, ribbed top. (I'm sorry about the quality of this picture guys but I couldn't get it any better). I think this top will look amazing with my white jeans (even though it's black). The only bad thing for some people might be that it is that it's super see through but to be honest that doesn't really bother me. This top was only £4.00 and I love it.

Next I got a grey Bardot top, This will look nice with my white jeans or shorts and I really like this, I think it's really flattering on me and it was only £3.00. I'm definitely going to get some more of these, maybe a black, white and coral one because I actually love it so much and it's so cheap.

The last clothing item I got was a black peplum top. It's in a kind of thick bobbly material, I can't describe it but it seems really nice qualify for Primark. It's nicely structed and it also has got a slight V neck which I love, it makes this top look really elegant and dressy if you know what I mean. I would probably wear It with jeans to make it more casual or a skirt to dress it up. (And yes it is black but it's too nice to leave outta my wardrobe). It was only £8.00 aswell, bargain or what?!.

Then I just got some lint rollers, I just like to use these on my black jeans because oh my gosh, it drives me mad when my jeans get so much fluff on and you can see it so obviously on black jeans so that's why I avoid them although I do love my black jeans. So yeah just a necessity for me really.

Last but not least, I just got some cheap flip flops for around the house, garden or whatever. There only £1.00 so to be honest I didn't expect much from them, but when I got home and tried them on properly, I was so surprised by how comfy they are, I will probably pick up a few more pairs of these aswell.

So that's it for now! I hope you have enjoyed this blog post. There will most definatly be a big Primark haul and a little MAC haul next month because I'm planning on splurging out.

Save or splurge?; Mac prep and prime highlighter

Hey guys!

its feels like such a long time since I have actually sat down and done a exciting blog post, but today I will be doing a save or splurge post. I'll basically be telling you whether or not a high end product is worth the price or whether a drugstore product is the same. I'm going to be basing this post on the MAC prep and prime highlighter.

So firstly It is £18.50 and i believe it comes in 4 different shades, my one is in 'lightboost'.

The highlighter I think is pretty amazing, I love the way that it is a pen because it gives you precise application and I also find it really easy to use. You can wear it underneath your makeup (like under your foundation) or on top of your makeup just like you would with a 'normal' concealer. I tend to use it on top of my foundation and I find it really good for highlighting my under eye area and brightening it up. It gives me a really healthy radiant look, which i don't find any other concealer gives me.

The only problem is that it sets really fast so you must work quickly with this concealer in order to have a flawless look. But if you can work quickly like me (he he) there will be no problems.

BUT... is it worth the splurge, in my opinion it is because like i said i have tried many cheaper concealers and i haven't found that it gives me that highlighted, healthy look that I want.

I defiantly would like to find a cheaper alternative but Macs products are way too good and not any one of Macs products have ever let me down, especially this concealer/highlighter (whatever its called). This may be one of my new favourites!

If any of you guys have found a concealer that compares to the Mac prep and prime then please do let me know.

Thank you for reading this blog post i hope you have enjoyed it. I have actually made my own Facebook page for my blog called 'Beauty & fashion geek' so if you like that page you wont miss a blog post from me ever again (yayy) and as per usual I will leave my usernames below.

love you all x

Maybelline the falsies volum' express mascara review

Hello guys!

I'm so Sorry I haven't posted in 2 weeks but I've been so busy revising that I just haven't had time, but now I'm back and I'll try and post more than once a week. I'm going to try and post every Thursday and every Saturday so keep and eye out.  To make sure you don't miss out you can  follow me on Twitter, my username is Minniemouse_678.

Today I want to review the Maybellline the falsies volum' express mascara.

So the mascara is £7.99 -£8.99 depending on where you get it from. It states it gives you volume and gives your lashes a false effect.

So this is by far my favourite drugstore mascara EVER!.

It certainly does makes my lashes long and voluminous and you only need a few coats. I don't know if I would say it makes my lashes look 'false' but it does make my lashes look more of a statement than other mascaras do which totally makes me love it! The formula lasts all day, I would say about 9 hours and it is also waterproof. I also love the wand because it is quite long and round so it gets right into the roots of your lashes letting you get the most out of it, it's so easy to apply aswell and never smudges.  It dosent dry out quickly like some mascaras do and I think for the price it amazing. I will certainly be repurchising this mascara and if you get a chance to get this I certainly reccomend this because I love it and I think it's beautiful.

So that's it for this review... I love writing reviews for you guys, I hope you enjoy them and there will be many more coming up because I have so many products to review to you!.

As per usual please leave any blog requests in the comments and I will try and do it... Thank you for reading this, don't forget to follow me, love you all!

Chit chat

Hey guys today I'd thought I'd chat to you about random things and it will be a really relaxed blog post.

So firstly let's talk exams. Last week I had my IGCSE English exam, and it was alright I suppose, in the summer I get the result and I'm hoping it was good (obviously).

Next I wanna talk about makeup... So I'm currently using the Mac skin base visage primer and its amazing and keeps you nice and matte but sadly its kind of coming to the end and its quite expensive so before I buy myself another one i want to go to the drugstore and see if I can get a different matte primer for a fraction of the price. Also I really need to do a drugstore haul actually, Theres a few foundations, concealers, bb creams and lip products that im really craving ( I know it sounds weird, how can you crave makeup but when you become a makeup addict you find yourself craving a Mac lipstick more than chocolate, my crazy makeup friends will know what I'm talking about). I most likely won't be doing a big haul until around summer time because I need to do a massive summer clothing haul as well, if anyone would like to lend me around £6000 then that should be enough for all the makeup and clothes I'm craving and maybe even for an iPhone 6 and Michael kors watch.

Also guys, I done a review on my holy grail almond oil and I recently run out so my nan kindly got me another 2, and its so soothing, if you haven't read my Almond oil review please do because its such a good product and honestly, its a miracle worker.

Thank you for reading this blog post I hope you've enjoyed reading it, if you want to contact me please do it from my twitter or Instagram, usernames will be down below as usual.

My spring/summer essentials 2015

Hello guys!!

I'm sorry I haven't posted In a while I was ill and had a lot of homework to do. Anyways, today I'm here with my spring/summer essentials! So this is where I'll be showing you everything that I need during spring/summer.

First of all my Rimmel stay matte powder is a  absoloutle essential for me, purely because I get very oily and this takes away all shine leaving you completely matte.

Secondly my Mac skin base visage primer is a essential because again, it helps to keep me matte and I love the matte look. It's such a good primer although it's a bit pricey but who cares when it's a amazing primer. I highly reccomend this.

Then of course a little bit of blush to brighten up your cheeks is always a necessity. So my favourite one is the Mua cream blusher in the shade 'blossom'. This is slightly dewy but I like that on my cheeks to give me a bit of colour. It's also not too bright, it's natural and I love it.

Broznzer is a favourite of mine and my 2 favourites are the Mac bronzer in 'refined golden' and Collection Bronze glow in 'shimmering light'. These aren't matte colours but In the summer time they add a nice glow to the cheeks. You cannot contour with them because that are not matte, but actually the Mac bronzer does come in matte shades.

Now I love the Maybelline baby lips in 'pink punch'. This gets taken everywhere with me when the suns out because this gives a nice pink colour to the lips but it's not bright at all it's just a tint of pink so it looks pretty and a bit different to a plain lip balm. This is super hydrating too and super cheap.

My favourite lipsticks in the spring/summer time are the Rimmel kate moss lipsticks. The Pink shade is number 28 and the Orange shade is number 32. I love these because they are so pigmented and bright. I find they are matte with like a shimmer, I know that sounds weird but when you wear it, it's like you are wearing a matte lipstick, with a lipgloss on top. Strange I know but hey ho!

Finally my last spring/ summer essential would be my elf smudge pot in 'gotta glow'. This eyeshadow is great because when it's hot you don't want too much makeup on, you want a light touch of makeup, so this all across the lid is awesome because it adds a light touch of colour. It lasts a long time too and is really easy to blend, you can use a brush or your finger.

Thank you guys for reading this! I hope you enjoyed it! As usual all my instagram, Twitter etc. Names will be below incase you would like to contact me.

Whats in my makeup bag? 2015

Hello everyone,

Today Im going to share with you what I keep in my makeup bag when I'm going to my nans for the weekend, when I'm going restaurants and in general, when I'm just going out.

The makeup bag I own is a black one with pink bows and pink polka dots, it was only from primark and was £3.00 which is a absoloute bargain!

So I'm going to start of with telling you what makeup brushes I carry around with me. I only carry 3 around because no one wants a makeup bag full of makeup brushes, I mean you need space for that matte foundation because you don't wanna be walking around town with a oily T zone, no girl I don't think so!.  Anyway back on track, I have 3 real technique brushes and they are the Blush brush, which I obviously use for blush. I then have got my expert face brush which I use for foundation and concealer, and lastly I have my setting brush which I use for my powder.

Makeup products:

Powder - Rimmel stay matte.

Foundation- Rimmel stay matte foundation.

Primer- Mac skin base visage travel size. (This primer is literally life. End of)

Concealer- Maybelline fit me.

Eyeliner- Maybelline master drama khol liner.

Mascara- Mac false lash extreme black travel size.

Lip balm- Nivea essential care.

Lipstick/lipgloss I  don't actually have any lipstick/lipgloss in my makeup bag because unless I'm feeling really productive (which is never often) I don't tend to wear it because it just gets annoying on my lips and I'm always conscious if its moved onto my chin when I'm eating.

Deodrant- I always keep a travel size deodorant in my makeup bag because I hate it when you get sweaty and yucky and you have to be somewhere.

Body spray- I also always keep a body spray in my makeup bag and since I recently bought one from Primark I keep that in there because it's the perfect size and it smells so nice guys, like soo nice, I'm not even kidding.

Thank you for reading this exciting blog of mine! Please follow me, once I reach a certain amount of followers I will be doing a giveaway so follow me to make sure your included! Please let me know what blog posts you would like to see in the future guys.

I will leave my email/social network usernames down below incase you want to contact me.

Love you all xx

Primark haul April 2015

Hello guys!

Today I'm going to be doing a Primark haul, I love primark because they sell some gorgeous things at such affordable prices! I got quite a few bits as you can probably tell by the big bag in the picture below so I'm going to share them with you now.

First of all I got a white kimono cardigan thing and it is beautiful, it's so light so will be perfect for this upcoming summer and it can brighten up any outfit, this was only £5 which is so cheap and I'm so happy with this purchase!

I then got a long sleeved, high neck swing top. It's light grey and is perfect for weather when it's too hot to wear a jacket/coat but it's to cold to have bare arms. I love this top and it was only £6.00, it also has a zip on the back to add that extra bit of detailing.

Then grabbed the super high waisted black jeans with rips in the knees, these are dupes for the Topshop joni jeans at £36.00 but instead I got these for £10.00! The picture dosent do them justice but they fit perfectly, they look exactly the same as the joni jeans which I adore and as there black they'll go with everything. I'm going to go back and pick up some more colours of these because they are so comfortable, I already had a pair before which my nan got me and I didn't think they'll be all that but they actually are 'all that'.

Then I picked up a white bandeau, these are great for when you have a sheer top and you don't want to wear a Cami underneath, you can just throw one of these underneath instead and they are so comfortable and I might pick a few more of these up as I feel they are a staple piece in my wardrobe. These are £1.50, super cheap right?

I saw a leather jacket in someone's Primark haul on YouTube and I absolutely loved it, I have been searching for a new leather jacket and I knew it was 'the one' when I saw it and I just had to have it, no argument about it. I went to my local Primark doubting they would have it and guess  what!! THEY HAD IT. So I was like a nutter and I literally saw it and got so excited and ran to it. They had my size aswell so I got so happy, I looked at the price tag and then my heart skipped, skipped a beat when I saw it was £25.00 reduced to £10.00!!! and then I popped it into my basket. It looks better on than in the picture and this is definatly one of my best purchases in my life. (What a massive statement to say, but would I lie to you?)

I then needed some sandals for the upcoming summer so I got myself a few pairs. The first pair I got were these white ones with gems on and these are stunning, they will be really nice for when you want to wear something dressy because you can just throw on these sandals with absolute anything and they will match. They were only ( wait for it... Wait for it...) £4.00! (Ignore my disgusting toenails)

The second pair of sandals I got are these black and gold pair. They are like fake suede and then gold hardware. These were also £4.00 and I think they look much more expensive than they actaully were.

The last pair of sandals I purchased was this pair of Birkenstock style sandals. I got these in white because they'll go with anything, these will be super easy to slip on with dresses, skirts, jeans and what not. I can't wait to wear them, they are so comfortable and again they were £4.00.

Moving on to beauty...

I first got this little body spritz in the scent 'Cassis and Red berry'. This smells really nice and I wanted these to take to school because it's small and compact so therefore will fit perfectly into my school bag. This was £1.50.

Secondly I got a mini sure deodorant, this is also for my school bag. It's quite self explanatory to be honest, it's to make me smell nice (we all know that) and that's that. This was only £1.00.

I then got some nail polish remover pads for £1.50. I've never tried these before so I hope they work well, I just didn't want to pay £4.00 for a pack of 50 in boots.

I also got my favourite makeup wipes and these are the gentle facial cleansing wipes and you get 50 for £1.00. I get these all the time. They remove makeup as quick as a click and as they state they are very gentle. I hate paying like £4.00 for a pack of 25 because that is quite expensive and I feel that the Primark ones are just the same.

Primark lip products are actually one of my favourites. I have a pink and red lipstick from Primark and they are really good because they aren't too bold but they are pigmented and look perfect on my lips because as I have quite big lips and wearing any lipstick is quite a statement for me, so bold pink lipsticks aren't my favourite because they don't do anything for me, but like I said the Primark ones aren't as bold so my lips don't blind anyone when wearing pinks/reds. So I picked up a brown nude colour, this is only 80p I think and it's a bargain because I can honestly compare them to the Rimmel kate moss lipsticks.

I love matte lipsticks and I saw Primark done a few so I picked up the most beautiful light pink lipstick. I'm so excited to wear this and can we just take a minute to admire the stunning packaging! These were only £1.50 aswell!

Then I saw the youtuber Becca Rose feauture the Primark nude lipliner in a video of hers and as soon as I saw it I was on the hunt for it, so what do I do, I searched high and low for this lipliner until I eventually found it and it's actaully so pigmented, it's a orangey nude colour, this will be really pretty for a nude lip in the summer time because of the orangey undertones in it. I can't remember how much this was exactly, I think it was only £1.00, so again, what a bargain!

So that's everything I purchased on this trip to Primark! I will probably be going back in the summer time, so there will be another haul approaching, Follow me to make sure you don't miss out on that one! Thank you for reading this blog post, also guys you might have realised the font in this blog post and a few others are all different but I actaully have no control of that because as I post blogs via blogger app on my phone, it gives you limited options to what you can do and it automatically changes the font, I'm trying to figure something out but for now your going to have to bare with. Sorry guys.
