Drugstore makeup haul April 2016!

Hey guys!

So I've picked up a few bits from lush, and Superdrug, so as usual I thought I'd share them with you!

First of all I've been dying to try the Loreal Infalliable 24 hour foundation, I actually tried it the other day for a few hours and my first impressions was that it was a satin finish, medium coverage but buildable, it didn't cover all my red spots though which was a let down but I'll have to try it for a longer period of time to form my actually opinion. I'll defo do a review on this product! This is £10.00.

I've wanted the Mac fix plus spray for the longest time, but it is £17 and I just can't justify spending that money right now. I've seen quite a few people use the makeup revolution setting spray all around YouTube and on insta so I decided to pick it up and give it a try for myself! It's only £5 aswell!

I've needed to get a full on matte primer for the longest time, so I picked up the Infalliable mattifying base, I'm yet to try this but the formula feels quite lightweight and silicone based. It was only £8 I believe!

Then I got the Loreal brow artist and this is a standard eyebrow pencil, but on the other end it has got a white pencil which is great for highlighting the brows precisely! You can also use it to highlight around your lips to clean up your lipstick! I totally rate this product I think it's such a cool concept and it's only £4.99 which is a bargain compared to the anastasia and Mac ones at around £15!

As summer is approaching I decided I wanted to get myself a gradual tan. I've been researching the best ones to get, I didn't want to spend a fortune on st. Tropez tan because I'm only going to wear it on my legs. I saw zoella hype about this product in one of her vlogs so I decided to get it! Once again I'm yet to try it out but I shall review this for you guys to see how I get on with it! It was reduced to around £3 in boots from £6.

Then lastly from Superdrug I got the biore pore strips. I've been wanting to try these for ages as I have so many blackheads on my nose, However these were very disappointing as they didn't pull out any blackheads, all they done was make my nose super matte! Which I suppose is better than doing nothing but still... I had high expectations for these. At least they were on offer for £3 from £8!

Moving swiftly onto lush...

So first I got this beautiful bath bomb 'sex bomb'. It smells of lavender to me and it turns your bath pink and looks so pretty!

I then got a bubble bar called 'creamy candy' and it smells a bit like the comforter to me, but a but my floral. And once again it's super pretty!

Thank you guys so much for reading this lil haul!

Love you all xoxoxo

Collective haul! (Forever 21, Primark , Mac & more)

Hey guys,

For a while now I've been getting bits & bobs from all different shops and I thought I'd show you what I have got.

Firstly I'll start of with Primark!

So first of all I have picked up this midi length bodycon dress, i absolutely love this! Dresses like this tend to be really flattering on me since I have long legs and since it was only £6 I had to get it! I wish there were more colours in this style of dress because I think it'll look really nice with some sandals or converse in the summer with a denim jacket.

Next I saw this and I instantly fell in love with it. It's this beautiful play suit. Basically it's off the shoulder and then has a belt to tie you in at the waist and then it flows out on the bottem part.  I think this is so pretty and once again with some sandals in the summer time this will look so nice. & it was £10.

Then of course I had to get pyjamas, I always get pyjamas when i go primark because there's some really nice ones and I saw these lion king ones. First of all I love Lion king and second of all I love the colours because there quite summery . The pyjama bottoms are really tight fitted btw so I would size up if you want them to be more airy ( if you know what I mean).

The next 2 items I got because I was going to the Dorchester with my school and I need some 'smart' causual clothes, so I wore these 2 items with a leather jacket and my converse.

This top is just a basic plain top but it's good to have because it goes with a lot of things, and I think it was £6 or £8 but I can't exactly remember because the tags are off it.

Then these I love so much, they are basically the cross between trousers and leggings and I think they are really nice because you can dress them up or down. The only annoying thing is that I've never seen these type of trousers in a size 6 from primark so I had to get a size 8 which are a bit loose on the leg, I don't know why they don't do them in a 6 because that would be the perfect fit, nonetheless they still look nice on and they are only £11!.

Moving on to Forever 21...

Forever 21 is my favourite shop of all time, they have such nice clothes at a great price, if only I had more money I would have bought the whole shop... Trust me.

First of all I got this gourgeous White a line skirt. I've been wanting one if these for the longest time but the ones in topshop and river island are £30 and I can justify spending that much on a skirt. However this one was only £13 and it fits me really well and I just love everything about!

& then I just got myself a stripey white and navy blue crop top. I love tops like this because they go with anything and are perfect for summer time, although you can layer them in colder weather. This was only £6 and I think it will look great with the white skirt!

Then I popped into Mac and got myself a new lipstick..... I got velvet teddy which I've been wanting for ages but was always out of stock. I'm so glad I've finally got my hands on this, it's the perfect 'kylie Jenner nude'.

Moving onto Superdrug...

First up I needed a new eyebrow gel. The elf one is the best eyebrow gel but it's always sold out so I've settled for this for the time being and its the Rimmel brow this way, it's nothing special but it will do and it was around £4.

I have a 'thing' for cream blushes at the minute, like I loveee them so much because they add a dewy touch to the cheeks and look so pretty. The one I picked up is the Maybelline dream touch blush in the shade 'plum 07'.

Everyone is going crazy about this concealer so I just had to pick it up, it's the eraser eye concealer by Maybelline and it's so good! It's full coverage and lasts all day but the only downside is that there's only 2 colours to choose from and the 'light' shade is what I've got and it's not light enough because I like my concealer to highlight as well, but this doesn't do the job. I'll still get use out of this I'll just have to mix it with a lighter concealer. It was £7.99 if I remember rightly.

I have been wanting the sleek highlight palette in 'solstice' for ages so I went and bought it and Oh God it's beautiful... Literally it works so well and it's £10.

Last of all I picked up the Barry M dazzle dusts. These are like pigments and they work so well, they are so pigmented and they look even better if you wet them. I actually created a look with the pink one which is in my last blog post which I'll leave the link to here: http://aboutmeobvs.blogspot.com/2016/03/makeup-tutorial-pretty-spring-look.html
They are only around £4 each which is insanely cheap and I'm defo going to be buying more of them.

I also needed a new pair of trainers so I went into JD and got Nike theas, they are so comfy and easy to wear and they are £90.

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you have enjoyed it, don't forget to comment and share!

Love you all Xoxox

Makeup tutorial: pretty spring look

Hey guys!!!

So I'm going to be sharing with you a simple Spring look which is really pretty and I had so much fun creating!

So first of all let me take a selfie... No lets not. So first of all let me show you a pictureeee....

Products used on eyes
- Mac skin base visage as a base ( ran out of eye primer oops :/ )

- Anastasia Beverly Hills self made palette  in the shade 'blossom' and I blended this all over the eye. I then took the shade 'Metallic plum' and I blended that into the outer corner, crease and the top and bottom lash like just to add some depth and definition.

- I then placed the Barry M dazzle dust in the shade '39' which is the star of the show! I basically packed it on with a flat brush.

- Then I added some of the Maybelline lash sensational mascara.

Products used on face
- I used the Maybelline fit me concealer under the eyes to brighten them up and then the Rimmel stay matte powder just to set it into place.

Products used on lips
- I used the Rimmel exaggerate liner in the shade ' East end snob' and I used the Mac modesty lipstick on top to top of the look.

... And that's how I created the look!

Thank you so much for reading!!! I hope you enjoyed this and please feel free to comment any requested blog posts and I'll be sure to do them, a big haul shall be coming up soon because I've been doing a bit of shopping recently hehehe :).

Love you all Xx

Makeup tutorial: Zoeva Cocoa blend palette

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to be doing a dark kind of smokey eye and red lips for a all out ultra glam look!

Face products:

- Mac skin base visage as a primer and blended with my fingers.

-Loreal true match foundation and blended with the real techniques expert face brush.

- Mac prep and prime highlight in light boost and I placed this as a triangular shape below my eyes and blended with the real techniques expert face brush for a bright under eye.

- seventeen define and conquer contour kit, I only used the highlight powder to set underneath my eyes. I actually took my beauty blender and dabbed it into the powder and just packed it underneath my eyes on top of the Mac prep and prime highlight to set it in place and then I left it on for 10 minutes and then brushed the access powder of with a powder brush.

- Collection shimmering bronzer in medium and I just applied the around the perimeter of my face to bronze me up a bit rather than applying blush, I used the real techniques contour brush.

Eye products:

- Zoeva Cocoa blend eyeshadow palette.
Firstly I took the shade 'substitute for love' and blended that into my crease with a blending brush. Then I took the shade 'freshly roasted' and blended that into the crease to add more depth and definition. Then lastly I packed on the shade 'beans are white' and put it all over my eye lid (wet the shadow to make it more pigmented using the Mac fix plus).

- Maybelline great lash mascara.

- Mac stud eyebrow pencil.

- Eyelure 070 lashes.

- Maybelline master drama kohl eyeliner in waterline.

Lip products:

January favourites 2016

Hey guys!

Today I'll be sharing some things I've been loving this month!

First of all the soap and glory heck of a blot powder is so good! I've recently discovered it and I've been using it ever since. It's light and translucent which I prefer because it dosent look cakey or anything or just lightly dusts onto your face and I just really love it, it's perfect for oily skin aswell, if I wear this powder I don't have to top up until about 6-8 hours later which is amazing for me.

Next of all I love the anastasia Beverly Hills self made palette, now I think I've mentioned this product on my blog before and absolutely love it. My favourite shade is 'hot and cold'. That's all I've been wearing on my eyelids for pretty much the whole month because it's so easy and pretty and makes such a difference to my makeup look.

Then of course the Loreal true match foundation is my holy grail! It is so good and I can't hype on about it enough, I much prefer it to my Mac foundations because It's not as cakey and it is buildable so I can settle for a lovely light coverage  or a heavy coverage depending on what my skin is like and all that jazz. It's matte aswell and overall it's a great all rounder for me!

Then my Mac blusher in the shade 'mocha' is beautiful. It is a great blusher to wear all day every day on any occasion and honestly it's quite natural on the cheeks and it lasts all day without moving. I definitely want to get more of these.

The 'Maybelline lash sensational' mascara is actually really good. At first I tried this and I wasn't very impressed but I put it on the other day and it gave me Volumous curled lashes and I love it now! I can see why everyone hyped over this!

The elf ' wet gloss lash and brow mascara' is so good aswell, I don't really use the lash side but I use the brow side to set my brows in place everyday. It sets them perfectly without budging and it's so cheap aswell, when I got it I know it was £1.99 but now I think the price has slightly gone up but it's still very affordable for how good it is, mine has actually just run out so I need to purchase another one badly.

The Mac 'taupe' lipstick is so lovely, it's a browny nude colour and I find it to be perfect for the night time and it's also matte which is my favourite!

Then guys... I have found the best game ever! It's called colour switch and it's such a quick fun annoying game, my highest is score 12!

If you didn't already know me and my lil sister are the biggest eastenders fans going ... The storyline is so good at the moment and I feel so sorry for Stacey and Martin!

Love you all Xx

The reason behind my blog address

Hey guys!

So basically I wanted to talk to you guys about my blog address name.

As you know it is 'aboutmeobvs' and I would ideally want it to be called 'beauty and fashion geek'. I basically chose 'aboutmeobvs' because my first ever post was 'about me' and I thought you had to make the address for that specific post, I didn't realise it was the actual  address for my blog page.

I just wanted to get that out there because my address dosent fit in with beauty or anything and it might seem strange but hopefully I can change it soon lol

Thank you for reading xxx
